Oris News from Watches and Wonders

Word from W&W is that Oris has some embargoed watches on display, and that some might have more calibre 400 movements.

As an aspiring watch blogger stuck in a govt. job, I hope I'm not betraying confidence (As I just asked a question on a W&W livestream and I'm excited about the response I got back)...

Oris has always been a brand I'd love to LOVE--whether it's their new designs, transparency, or their sustainability efforts--but I cant's quite put my finger on why I don't

Maybe this will bring Oris into closer competition with other luxury brands...

The Calibre 400 has an accuracy of +5/-3 seconds per day, which actually bests COSC standard. It's also fantastically resistant to magnetism. Cant wait to see what they come out with, and hope for maybe a Cal. 400 Divers 65?

Any thoughts?

Dreams?

Have you ever tried an Oris model actually on?  I think actually trying a watch on is really what it takes to know if you really like it.  I loved the Rolex Explorer II and Explorer on paper and in photographs.  I tried them on at an AD and hated both.  I was lukewarm to the Speedy and tried it on (2020 version) and instantly fell in love with it.  Tried the new Speedy on with the tapered bracelet and hated it.  Maybe go to an Oris AD and try some on and see what you really think?  That helps me a lot.

Totally agree. I hate how a SM 300m looked until I tried it on in the metal and LOVED it... I'll probably do the same when/if I can get my hands on whatever future products come from Oris.
