I'm not really thrilled with the look of this JM Avigator watch on a brown leather strap, so I was curious what you all think of putting vintage looking "beads of rice" band on it? It looks pretty good on the Brietling chronograph. My other option is possibly a black leather strap. Any ideas are welcome! TIA.

Beads of rice looks like it will tie nicely with the curved (or at least what I perceive to be curved) edge of the case.

I added a photo that shows the side of the case. It has a really vintage look to me.
Imo I would prefer some dark green strap, something like this
but with a black buckle 🍻
I think that style of thin lugs would go better with a mesh bracelet.
It’d have massive Hamilton Chrono vibes

Interesting choice. I can't really picture it. I'd probably need to see something similar.

Yeah that mesh is a good option too!
Beads of rice will definitely work, it's a classic design so it should be able to pair with almost anything

Never mind Steve, I wouldn't consider myself as a designer, maybe it would be way too colorful for your taste. I just thought that as the orange part of the tachymeter matching the hands then it could look somehow cool if the small green part of tachymeter would match the strap

Tying into the green is a good idea. I'm looking at some different green straps to see if something jumps out at me.

I did it with the PRX but approximately after two weeks I returned to bracelet, not so much because of the green strap itself but because of the butterfly clasp. It was very uncomfortable, they pushed on my wrist. Maybe you get motivated, I'll upload some pics...
You can cut out the watch from your picture and just paste it to first picture of PRX in this comment to give you at least an idea how it could look 😉🍻

Came here to say this.
Green suede, or racing strap in green.
Nice looking watch…
Yes, on the beads of rice. Possibly the Breitling Chronomat style bracelet as well.
Best of luck,

Decided to go with a mesh bracelet on the Avigator Sport.
