Appropriate Watch For The Task

I ended up on a bit of adventure to Iqaluit, NU yesterday, and snapped these pics on the way home today. I think the GSAR was the perfect watch for the occasion.

It also fit comfortably under my jacket cuff, but they had the heat dialed up to 11, so the jacket wasn't needed on the flight.

Nice. Whenever somebody talks about having a theme for their watch collection I just think “we’ll, I need one watch for each thing I do or situation I’ll find myself in”.

I pretty much have the same "theme" for my collection. The first question I ask myself when I see a watch I think I'd like to buy is, "How does this fit into my life?". The question has saved me money, as I like the look of a lot of watches, but realize I'd never wear them.

I was just a passenger, but I always enjoy the experience... for the first four hours, after that it starts getting old.

I hear you on the 4 hours.  I am always a passenger too.  My actual job is making sure these fly:

I have a sweet spot in my heart for the Royal Canadian Air Force.  My instructor at the USAF SNCO Academy was a Candian Air Force Warrant Officer.

One of my friends went down to Alabama to instruct, MWO Geoff Rusconi. It was a few years back now.

What a small world.  He was my instructor.  Next time you see him ask him if he is still “hacking the mish”.
