I found it quite interesting how quartz doesn't get as much love as mechanical pieces. I mean, if I'm honest, it's a watch and it's beautiful, functional, and reliable. I love the combo of the strap and the dial.

I have to agree! I love my quartz watches! I have a number of watches with quartz movements that are among my favorites. I do believe that quartz movements with solar power have more wide acceptance than just straight battery powered quartz movements, but even solar movements suffer some stigma compared to mechanical movements.
p.s. this is a great combination of strap and dial, and it looks beautiful.

I definitely agree with you on the straight quarts vs. solar powered quartz. My dad is one of those who would rather have the solar powered vis a vis g-shock. He purchased a G-shock watch recently that wasn't solar powered quartz and he was and still is quite peeved about it. 🤣
It is a shame that quartz does not receive more respect. I am saving for a Grand Seiko Spring Drive, but it is a long road ahead of me. 😢 Meanwhile, I have my Bulova Precisionist, which is a quartz movement, and has a sweeping second hand similar in motion to a Spring Drive movement. 😂 It is my poor man's Spring Drive.
