I would try both, but buy neither. MR-1 is nice and that small rotor is neat, but the dial is a bit busy for my dress watch taste. There's an opportunity for an april fool's: Announce an MR-2 (one for the French).
The Hermetique is very original and right in my alley for being a field watch, but also not. And very beautiful. I've already got my Seiko Alpinist, though.
If mr02 means 38 mm and less clicking sound whenever I turned my wrist too quickly I would buy it. Hermitage has good built quality but I am looking foward to perceptual calendar from this brand or furlan marri
Regular Hermitage for me (probably in chocolate). The mr01 is not for me and what I like about the Hermitage is the simplicity, so that extra texture just spoils it for me.

Neither, I really don't get what all the hype is about.

I think the micro-rotor in a sub-$1k watch is probably the reason for the hype on the MR01.

It's a Chinese movement and you can buy the Chinese watch it came from on AliExpress for far less money.
