I have a CW already but I wouldn’t buy the bel canto as it simply doesn’t suit my style.
I think it’s a great watch and if it suits you then I actually think it’s a relative bargain. Nothing is like it for the price.
Something German and tuff. Maybe a Mühle Glashütte SAR with all the trimmings (all the straps).
Anything else. I don’t see what’s so impressive about a chime on the hour that can’t be adjusted.
The fascination with a minute repeater is in the setting and the engineering that goes into ringing out whatever time you choose.
The Bel Canto is more like a jump hour with a gong.
