Sometimes it takes twice to get it right

I’ve wanted a Borel Cocktail watch in my collection for some time. When I came across one online in really good condition, I bought it, even if it wasn’t the exact model I’d set out to purchase.

What I didn’t notice at the time was that it was a women’s version of the watch and although that wouldn’t have bothered me in the least, at 24mm it was too small even on my very thin 6.25” wrist.

So the search continued.

Finally I came across the model I’d been looking for all along, and in excellent condition. I didn’t bother to bid on it and opted to “Buy It Now”.

It arrived today and I couldn’t be happier with it.

It’s in what I could consider 9.5 out of 10 condition with just a few light scratches on the back.

Although the aftermarket band is stiff enough to star in Cialis commercials that’s easily remedied.

I guess it just goes to prove you shouldn’t rush a purchase and to hold out for what you really want if you don’t see it immediately.
