This replica/vintage-inspired aviation watch is a beauty to behold. It feels good and looks good!

Not bad, eh?
Not familiar with this brand but I am now!
There are many smaller brands ("many" being a relative term), which have cottoned onto taking bits of aircraft and attaching them in some way to a watch. I think they noticed that company that's been making luggage tags for years out of various planes, jets, and helicopters, and realised it's actually not that hard to get a bit of skin off an aircraft - sometimes even a historically interesting one like a Battle of Britain fighter - and work it into a watch. It then becomes "the story" of the watch. Bugger "small watches are the big news in 2023" I reckon it's watches using these kinds of additions that have skyrocketed in the past 12 months.

To me this is a gimmick type watch, tenuous links to aviation but little substance or long term appeal.

There are lots of gimmicks used to sell a watch. Or anything, for that matter. Do I like the watch without the small piece of aircraft skin? Yes. Every watch will have an appeal to so many different people, for so many different reasons. I don’t like dive watches-especially ones that suck at being a true dive watch. But hey-To each their own.
