This SRPE53 arrived today. The Seiko bracelet immediately came off and the Strapcode jubilee went on.

Next week, the double-domed sapphire crystal and the signed crown should arrive from namokimods to complete this mod.

I have to say that I am very pleased with this watch. Even with all the upgrades (i.e., bracelet, double-domed sapphire and signed crown, it still comes in well under $350.

And it has a blue dial… 🤪😀

Not only are you not alone, but you may be in the majority. Although I have changed the Seiko bracelet on this watch, as well as the Speedtimer and the King Turtle, I was pleased with the Seiko jubilee bracelet on the GMT SSK003 and the metal bracelet on a Seiko Recraft, only changing the stamped clasp to a milled clasp on the last two watches.

But the Strapcode bracelets, imo, are a better bracelet than most of the Seiko bracelets.

Nice! Just bought a 57 and will probably change the crystal to a domed sapphire as well. Please post once completed!
