Recently picked up an spb213. I’m digging it. Just hate the bracelet it comes on. Going with a mesh for now but I think eventually going to pair it with a grey tropic? Thoughts?

Grey tropic should suit it well. Sharp watch. Love how the rectangular indices go with the rectangular lume on the hands and even the rectangular lume on the second hand.

If it is the clasp you hate on the stock bracelet, you can swap it for a aftermarket 18mm milled clasp and it makes a big difference.
It looks great on grey, white, blue tropic straps. Or give it a vintage look with Seiko waffle straps. If you like wearing it on a leather strap, get a nice thick two stitch strap.

I have the SPB149 and I also hate the bracelet. I replaced it with an Uncle Seiko, it’s more confortable and looks better. The tone of the bracelet is different than the case, but it’s not a big deal, at least not for me.

thinking I will do this soon, right now I’m content to play with different natos, mesh, and tropics but I’m going to want a quality bracelet eventually. Glad to hear the Uncle Seikos are actually better

So I'm really considering upgrading now. Sounds like you are pretty satisfied with the feel of the uncle seiko bracelet for the price? Just want to make sure it's a pretty substantial upgrade for a hundred bucks. Just curious if there was any other thoughts you could share?
Since I have a small wrist (6,5), the change was substantial. The original bracelet with the “male” end-links, the huge clasp and no taper wasn’t confortable. Now the feeling and looks are really similar to my BB58. Just remember that the tone of the bracelet is not exactly the same as the case.
