BB58 Smiley Alternative!

I could absolutely justify the price of $649 for this watch, rather than spending a few thousand for a 2824 powered Tudor. Anyone else on the same boat as me, or am I just sinking?

I think it's their newest or first automatic movement

I'm a tudor fan boy so I would say ur sinking, but if I didn't want to pay the full frieght I would probably look at the oris 65 diver

Or you could get the real thing, the Black Bay 58 and never look back 😉

Ronda did use to make mechanical movements a long time ago but definitely rode the quartz wave. This movement was introduced in 2016, and is used by a few microbrands, and Invicta, so its ok I guess. It is claimed to have +/- 12 seconds a day, similar to a Standard 2824-2, and is slightly thinner, but I've heard experiences of up to +20s/day. Never really seen it much in my travels, but then again, I walk very old paths away from the masses.

I quite like the look of the Tuseno. Yes, its very similar to a BB58, but I like the blue with the sandwich dial and blue lume, and the date font of the Ronda kind of goes well with the aesthetic. The star on the caseback and crown is cool. The hands - I absolutely hate the snowflake, but I can quite happily watch those trace around the dial all day. I'd be happy to wear this for £635... yeah, it's not a Tudor, but it's a handsome diver in it's own right. In terms of microbrand divers that I may decide to pick up, I quite like Helson for really chunky (Blackbeard for the skull lume), and Vero Open Water for just the design (Ridge Trail or Daybreak)... this might also go on the list as just what looks like a well-executed package of a classic diver.

I do not own one but agree with you.  This looks like a great watch.  I plan to get the blue no date version someday.
