The Captain Cook I had seen and heard of but really nothing else. When looking into possibily getting one I discovered these two beauties and purchased them immediately. So here are the questions. 1. What Captain Cook should I get? ๐ 2. Do you think this brand is underated? 3. Did this post make you think ? - "Hmm maybe I should look at getting a Rado?" 4. What else from their selections looks irresistible? 5. What Rado(s) do you have? PLEASE SHARE PHOTOS! โญโญโญโญโญ

Congratulations on two beautiful watches! I've always wanted a Seastar. Only thing holding me back - 50m water resistance. 100 m water resistance with a screw down crown = sold
Not a fan of the Diastar bezel, though I might feel differently if I saw it in person. That denim dial and handset, however, is classy. Iโm not versed in Rado to answer your questions. Itโs 100% not on my radar. Cheers to your new acquisitions!
I don't have one, but those are both excellent! Great choices! ๐ฏ

I hadn't the seen the Diastar bezel in person before I bought it. I did watch several YouTube reviews and compared their wrist size to mine. (7 1/4 by the way.) I have to say for me it doesn't disappoint! ๐
I believe Rado is more popular in India than North America. I owned a Captain Cook 300mm diver but sold because I never wore it and always chose my Planet Ocean over it. It was a great watch at 42mm and 12mm thick. Bezel was ceramic. Overall great watch. The bracelet it came with was decent, but the leather strap and clasp was the best Iโve had. Wish Omega and GS took a page out of Radoโs book.
I am struggling with this brand. I would love to love it but there is too little or too much going on their dial. I was tempted by a Captain Cook chronograph but at this price point (c.a. 5000โฌ) other brands offer more. Maybe I am a bit too conservative ๐
For sure everyone has different tastes and opinions. In looking further into the chronographs on the Rado site they make 6 models priced at 1650,1750,2200,4000,4000, and 4750 USD. The cases of all of these chrono models are either high tech ceramic or in the highest priced, titanium. For me although these prices are at my very top end or higher I still see the quality and relative value here. With Rado It is refreshing to have something a little different than what I see everyone else having. Rado is very innovative with their use of materials and design and some of what they offer is untraditional. I for one am very impressed with what they represent. Maybe they will remain unpopular in my corner of the world, but I see somethings here that are a departure from the old standbys and homages, and that I do appreciate. Sorry if I rambled or was preachy here. It is very late when I am writing this. I do encourage everyone to collect what they like. ๐
I got the Golden Horse on the right with black dial and I must say itโs a delicious little jewel. Itโs amazing, shining elegant and itโs oddly both understated while iconic. I believe itโs embarrassingly underrated considering how amazing it is.

Yes, all of the Golden Horse colors look amazing! I can definitely see picking up a black one in my future. I also have seen a skeleton Diastar that looks incredible. Nice seeing someone else that is seeing this as I do. ๐
Lovely #rado
I have three watches from the True ceramic collection of Radoโs. Photographs make them look like fashion watches but the wear and look are much better than that. Hereโs one recent shot.

I do really appreciate much of what they have. This one is especially nice. Thanks for sharing this pic!
