Starting my second year in WatchCrunch. I have the following watch related goals for myself. 1. Work on being less confrontational, more understanding, and play nicer with others. 2. Add 10 more badges ๐ 3. Contribute in ways to the site to help make it more fun, educational, and personal for others. 4. Get my own collection down in volume to under 100 while still adding some pieces. 5. Experiment with building some watches. 6. Improve my Timex Sub-collection by adding a few and purging a few. 7. Decided on whether to keep or sell tmy Rado DiaStar 8. Add a watch to my collection purchased through Amazon in the $400-$500 between May and Prime day. 9. Continue to post my daily watch until I get to the 365 mark. 10. To be decided - interested on what others think would be a good goal for me this year. Again thanks to all of you for making this site so incredibly inviting, helpful, informative, and fun. ๐ป Edited and added #10. Join the Horological Society of Utah. โ Accomplished April 17th!
A little over 3 years in. What was one has now became many. I very much enjoy watches. Current member of the Horological Society of Utah. New to building and designing watches. Collected all 3 TGV/Squ...

Thanks I appreciate that feedback. Definitely we all have our own opinions and I think it is wonderful that we do, but sometimes when others differ so vastly from my point of view I just feel like I can improve on my reaction. Sometimes it isn't even what I respond with and more just an ugly feeling I get. I have to just keep in mind that even though my beliefs and thoughts are of a higher plain of absolute certainty that others may not have reached this almost perfect stage of enlightenment! ๐คฃ I sometimes wonder is the dark side stronger!

Hey I was interested why your WatchCrunch name is AlohaBrah21? Great name I think! I spent 6 months on Maui way back in '87 driving pineapple trucks. I have visited the islands a few times since but man I would love to get back there permanently someday. It is definitely more better! :)

Mahalo, my friend. My roots are in Hawaiโi, predominantly on Oahu. Still have a lot of family there. I divide my time between the mainland and the islands; but now that Iโm an old fart, Hawaiโi full time has become more appealing. As you may know, the Big Island is still very much the โvalue playโ. I hope you find your way back there๐ค
I think you speak for most of us when you state your goals.

Ok maybe you guys can answer this for me. Hawaiiis the name of the island chain, right? Or is it the name of one of the islands? The big island is just named โThe Big Islandโ, not Hawaii?

Hawaii is typically recognized by its eight main islands: Hawaiสปi, Maui, Kahoสปolawe, Lฤnaสปi, Molokaสปi, Oสปahu, Kauaสปi, and Niสปihau. Often referred to as the Big Island it is actually named Hawai'i. My last vacation there was amazing but it isn't visited as much as some of the other islands. I think for someone that's more of a naturalist this is the pick. However for a romantic trip Kauai, for shopping, history, all around experience Oahu. Maui for beaches and golf. But there isn't a bad choice here and you can find some of most if not all of those things on all the islands. The people are the best there as well. Please respect and treat the people and the land like the treasure it is when you visit. โค
