Hello all. Just a quick question for you guys as you seem to have great suggestions from what I have been reading so far.
What is a nice dress watch that is under 3k? I honestly do not know the difference between some of the brands. So far what I am leaning toward is a Captain Cook Rado due to it being closer to 2k and a recommended brand from otheres.
I need to get a dress watch as I currently have too much fun buying wacky stuff with my little collection.
Here is what I have
Uboat U42 - Big watch for a night out. Was my daily for many years. One of my favorites as it starts conversations quite often.
Azimuth Mr Robot R2 - Just a fun watch. Aquired taste but I love stuff like this. Azimuth is also just so different.
Uboat Classico - Cool watch a bit more understated than the u42. I am a Uboat fan to the dismay of collectors on Reddit lol.
Gervil - Okay so the collection falls off a cliff here. Id say this one is my current dress watch as it is blue and metal and not loud. It feels good I suppose.
Gervil VG2 - Just like the way this looks. Affordable as well and unique.
Armourlite Isobrite - For activities or when I need something durable. Basic, black and glows at night. Goes good on the motorcycle.
Any suggestions or thoughts would be great!

Have you considered the Longines Master Collection?
The answer is always Aqua Terra 🤣👍
Longines gives you lots of alternatives.

Pictures of your collection would be helpful as a basis for comparison.

Thanks for the recommendation. I just checked out thier website. Definitely looks like the classic dress watch. Do they have pedigree? It is hard to tell sometimes.

Honestly Omega was high on the list. They are over the 3k price point but some are close to it. I am not so sure what the difference is of those models and do not have the experience to commit to a used watch as I have no idea what I am looking at haha.

Thanks for the suggestion. That is nice and super posh. I remember my mom owned a Cartier. Never saw myself as that fancy even though I am asking for something to match my suits. I wonder if I could pull it off.

Great idea, I do have pictures of them seperate because I left my Uboats at my vacation house (I regret this in retrospect as I miss wearing them). I can post the pictures of them however as I know the colors do differ.

Wear it with confidence and you'll pull it off. 👍
Longines already suggested is not a bad idea. Omega, also already mentioned is possible within the higher end of your budget. You have no Seiko/Grand Seiko in your collection, just sayin'
For $3k, you can get a lot of nice watches!
Are you looking for a traditional dress watch? 2 hand on a leather band? Or dressy like a DJ, steel bracelet?

Grand Seiko is interesting albeit a bit out of reach budget wise. One thing I would hate about it is having to explain the watch to people that it isn't a normal Seiko. I guess it doesn't matter as I am not buying the watch for others but do you find that to be an annoyance?

I honestly like bands but I feel like I need a steel bracelet in my collection.

Not at all, I love the stealth nature of my GS. Of course other geeks you run into will know what it is.

Yes, Longines has a rich history and is part of the Swatch group. Their watches have very good movements and offer great value.

Went with the Longines. Thanks for the suggestion!
