The auto wears a touch thicker than the quartz in the 'classic'/original case shape, and I've tried on all the variants up to XXL and they seem to fit really well even on my 6 3/4" wrist.
Hi Jason, I agree with you and just liking what we like. My totally favorite ⌚ is the Hamilton Ventura Elvis80s watch. It seems like it would be too big for a lot of people but actually the back of the dial is curved nicely and even a 6 inch wrist would probably work. It would take a pretty massive wrist to make it seem too small though. Hamilton has a store. Locator on It's site. If there is any close by you check them out. I have the one pictured below but I have my eye on the new blue chronograph Ventura as well. I like the Dune digital one but feel it is overpriced. Maybe a sale will happen or I get it latter on the second hand market. I am kind of surprised the Ventura's aren't more popular but that's ok I don't mind wearing something not everyone else is.
The Ventura has a special place in my heart. My automatic was given to me as a gift and is the watch that started me down the path of watch collecting.
I recently got the new Elvis blue suede shoes edition.
Should I go with the quartz? Or the automatic version? And origional size? Or the XL? I have an 8” wrist so I don’t know what rout to go.
Can't go wrong with both. I eyed the elvis 80 for sometime beforehand. If you have an 8inch wrist you can pull off the XL. Try before you buy if you can.

I love the dune ventura but i dont think i can pull it off lol
I’d go for the Dune one. I wish Hamilton put an electric movement in as they did in the original.

You won't regret it

I went for the auto but none will disappoint.
I'm biased, but I think they're awesome.
Which one would you recommend for large wrist? 8”-8.25?
Any of them, honestly. Even the original is over 50mm tip-to-tip.
Find somewhere that stocks a few examples and try them on if you can. The large won't look too large, and the original will not look too small.
Ok sounds good. I can’t find anywhere local that has any in stock at all.
If you really have your heart set on one, maybe it's worth the pilgrimage? Make the journey to see some in the flesh and be sure?
I have been wanting a Ventura for couple of years now. I love the look.

I have 2. I wouldn’t mind a 3rd!

I get it. I’m the same way. I like something that is odd ball and not on every other wrist.
