Unfortunate design choices…

Recently, I have been wanting to get a fun and cheerfully everyday watch that can be a trap and go quartz option. I have warmed up to quartz and realized how many positives they can have. 2 choices I have narrowed down to are the Timex Q and the Casio Edifice intragtated bracelet. The Timex has a excellent vintage feel. It also has a timing bezel and a quick change battery door for home maintenance. The major downside is acrylic crystal and a hidden lug case. I hate scratches and even though I am careful with my watches, I feel a fear about acrylic. Also I love swapping straps. The hidden lugs can be picky with options. Another option that feels like the opposite direction is the Casio. Contemporary, modern design in the intragrated bracelet design. Benefits of sapphire, 100 bar, thinner and more versatile. But the bracelet has me thrown off. A angular case design meets a bracelet that the lugs are contoured just is a juxtaposition that seems overlooked. The Casio feels like the safer option, but the Timex has a warmth and playfulness that pulls on my heartstrings…but the anxiety of a more “temporary watch” due to the crystal situation.

What are your thoughts Gentry and Crunchers alike?

The green dial Casio looks a nicer watch to me. I’m not a fan of integrated bracelets but there are one of the nicer ones 👍

Casio is the better one. Timex looks nice but has the worst bracelet I have ever worn, not joking. It pulls your hairs with every movement and then even your skin. It's torture. Then there is also the issue of a acrylic crystal and low water resistance.

Casio is just better in every way and is more suitable for every day use.
