I've been into watches for nigh on 60 years. My cover photo was my first serious watch which I got for my eleventh birhday on an Expandro bracelet. I wore that daily for 10+ years. My collection extends to 60+ watches embracing 10+ different makes.
Thanks for a great review. I've been adding various Rotary models to my collection over the years and this Cambridge is on my 'must get' list. I have the Rotary Les Originales automatic tank on a dark blue deployment clasp. A stunning watch!
For me it HAS to be the 64 no date Bi-compax. Why? Because it has THE car on the back plate. I was ten years old when Bond really became BOND! I had my uncle plead my case in the Court of Mum that I be allowed to go see GOLDFINGER. We lost and were denied any right of appeal. I like the size and look of the 64 over the 62, so much so that I have three in my collection. My favourite I wear on a ladder bracelet. Of all the models released by DH thus far the 64 hits the sweet spot for me.
That was my first serious watch when I was eleven. Now that Newmark are back in family ownership I'm hoping they'll issue and update to this model, especially on an Expandro style bracelet.
