Last watch of the year NWA
Back in September I was looking for a moonphase dial and bumped into this microbrand Selten. Real meteorite dial, custom rotor, automatic miyota movement, 40mm and 50M WR for around 700 - 750 USD. While pricey is quite a unique watch.

Congratulations on getting yours. All I’ve gotten so far are promises and delivery dates that keep going by. Last micro brand for me. Too risky, too unstable, too incapable of delivering product. I am actually pretty much over this watch before I’ve even gotten it because I’m tired of all this crap.

When did you order? Yeah mines also took a while (close to 4 month) but to be honest I was expecting that from a previous experience with another microbrand (blaming Covid). I would say that's the dark side of running such a small operations waiting for pre-orders to fund the project vs having the watches ready to ship. TBH if you are pretty much over it I would cancel the order 700 bucks shoot even 20 bucks is not worth giving someone the run around and being tired or frustrated. Not sure what I can do but let me know if I can help.

Next heard back early November with an email saying they’d be getting stock mid November, delivery soon after. I emailed three weeks ago looking to cancel because of the delays. They offered to add a free strap, with hopefully December but possibly January delivery. I said yes, but I’m tired of this. It’s been so long I’m kind of negative on this watch even before I have it. I’ll give them to the end on January. That’s all. Never again with micros for me, just no.

While I like the watch. I don't like the lack of transparency and not being upfront to their customers not only damages the name but also other microbrand reputations. I hope your issues gets resolved quick and get back into enjoying the hobby instead of headaches.

They promised by the end of January last time we communicated. I’ll give them till then. Hopefully they watch is as great as it looks and i forget the delays.
