For a watch that’s slightly too loose, would it be insane to place a very thin strip of rubber with adhesive, thick sticker, etc onto the back of the watch case? Would the adhesive leave a mark or leave permanent residue?
Has anyone ever tried something like this?

I haven’t tried any of those methods before but I have added on-the-fly toolless adjustable clasps on a couple of bracelets and they have worked well to get a perfect fit throughout the day.
I can't help with an answer but it sounds like a workable idea. Strangely thought about doing something very similar yesterday as my Flighmaster bracelet only has effectively one micro adjustment. I've decided to get a bracelet extender which has three effective adjustments and remove a link.
I imagine something like white spirit would remove most adhesive type residue if you decide to remove some rubber or the like after having a go.
Good luck! 👍
I can't for the of life me find it, but somebody on here asked something very similar. Their solution was a thin strip of material on the inside of the bracelet rather than the case back.
