Seiko Presage GMT you are missing out Long Term Ownership Review Much Better Than Mido

- good lighting
- good editing
- nice for you to be speaking to camera
- music bed mixed at the right level
However, I'm curious why, at the start, you announce you're a game dev and photographer? If something's not relevant to the review, I probably wouldn't mention it. I mean, why not go all the way and mention what kind of car you drive and what you had for lunch, if you see what I mean? It's information that doesn't need to be there. I'd use that as an opportunity to say why you like watches, or why the channel exists, or how often people can expect to hear from you, or basically anything that gives the viewer more information in line with why they're watching, ie: watch related. Even, "Hi, I'm Carlos, and I love watches!" then into it.
Outside of that, I think what's going to largely determine your success is what watches you can get your hands on. That's going to play a huge part in whether people find you, or not. Because the way you're presenting is fine. Absolutely no issues. Very watchable. If you can get people in, they will watch the content. But until you get very big, to the degree that people are coming to see you, and the watches are - in a way - secondary, it's going to be down to what watches you can get your hands on to draw the crowd.
Good luck :)

Hey, thanks for the note!
You make some excellent points. I will take some time to think about my intro
By the way, I agree %100 with you about the โwhat watches I can get my hands on.โ
I did a review for my Mido Ocean star GMT that got 30k views in a few weeks, and honestly, I think it was just because people search for that watch a lot
It made me โfeelโ that if I dropped 20k on Rolex and just made videos about that, I could get a lot of impressions and grow the channel quickly, lol
But I'm not sure that's what I want to do, as it would burn me out pretty quickly, and this is more of a hobby than a side hustle ๐
It does make me think about reaching out to some local ADs and see if I can work something out to get access to more popular watches
But I'm also way too small of a channel to be taken seriously
Thanks for the feedback. You give me lots to think about ๐บ
I truly appreciate you taking the time

You're very welcome and, you'd be surprised at how many brands will send around watches to even very small channels; people with way less views than you're getting. I'd recommend creating a to-the-point email with some information and links relating to your channel, and asking to be put on a review roster, and fire it off to the marketing/PR of brands that interest you. Even watches that you don't know much about yet. Grab a guide like Teddy's best of the microbrands - https://teddybaldassarre.com/en-au/blogs/watches/microbrand-watches-complete-guide - and there's suddenly 50-plus brands to hit up. Say you pick Lorier; hit up their contact page https://www.lorierwatches.com/en-au/pages/contact-us and away you go. I think you'll be surprised how many brands are keen to get infront of people who have channels with some track record, good production values, etc. You have that. You will get some hits from vendors.

I sent some emails about half a year ago to smaller brands, but I asked for specific watches and got nowhere
I figured I was one of ten thousand guys asking for watches, so I didn't take it too personally when I was ghosted ๐
I never thought of asking to get on a roaster. That sound like an excellent way to โleave the door open. โ

I couldnโt take the music behind the narration. Itโs much too distracting. I couldnโt focus on what you were saying. I made it too 4:29 and gave up.
I subscribed to see what youโll do later. I prefer small channels with different watches for review and different takes on the hobby in general.

I appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback.
Could you give me some ideas about what it is about the music that is not working for you?
I tried to choose something universal and chill to give some ambiance to the videos
I might need to post a few tracks and have people vote
Anyway, any insight you could offer about the music would help me greatly in working out a better option
Cheers ๐บ

Music is fine for video presentation and highlights but itโs distracting when youโre trying to discuss detailed information or insightful commentary. I usually watch channels that have no music behind the commentary so I can focus on what the presenter is saying.
With this music in particular, the drum track and complex chord structure repeatedly snapped my attention away from your voice. I would argue that if you have something worth saying, that should be the only focus of the video. Music is best used to fill the gap for otherwise silent video detail sequences.
