@horologybiology would know. I think the brand is owned by a company in the far east.
Wise choice but stick to anything pre late 1970's
Enicar collapsed during the Quartz crisis like 100's of great Swiss companies. The brand name Enicar was purchased by a Hong Kong based company in the early 1980's and have been producing Enicar 'of Switzerland' watches every since which are cheap, mass produced and have absolutely zero to do with the Swiss historical brand.

Vintage Enicar is a minefield of frauds and frankenwatches. There are certain countries (we all know who they are) from which I never would considering buying one. Look at the dial condition and the handset.
A watch from the 1940's should look like a watch from the 1940's.
