Intrigued by a new to me microbrand, Minase

Ran across Minase watches at the District Time Watch show. I was really impressed with them from my interaction with the watch. I really liked the Horizon line. I am going to have to do some research.

They are absolutely gorgeous watches. Their Divido and Urishi lines are so much better in person than the site does for them. They do a nice job up upgrading the movement, but the money appears to be in the dial. So very cool.

All the watches I saw at the show looked out standing but the Horizon just sticks in the mind as the one to learn more about,,, unless I where to win the lottery of course! 😛

Ah man the case work on these Minase was super impressive for the price point!

Oh boy just when I say I'm done another microbrand for me to explore 😅

Go for it, I'd say. IIRC the company started out making tools and machineries for watchmakers. So when they say their watches are Sallaz (now try to Japanify that word) polished, they mean it. Zaratsu at half price, baby!

And that fact is reflect in their brand logo. It reps a bit to drill holes in cases, I believe for the crown stem tube.
