Finished my AliExpress custom build... again!
Had to take it back apart after I finished it last time, because I had bumped the hours hand and it was 30 minutes behind, made it hard to use. Also swapped in a different minutes hand that's a more vibrant orange and a bit bigger, other one just wasn't doing it for me. But also got the movement set just right and got the black skeleton rotor on and working without interference. Which is great, that rotor cost more than the movement, lol! And included a pic with almost all the tools I needed to do this build, there was a question about that last time. Anyways, Seiko NH35 movement, lumed indexes have a black surround, and case style is pretty obvious. Bought 3 different sets of hands to pick and choose from. Picked up all the watch parts on AliExpress for about $120.
Edit: Added a lume shot. Looks good, but it's AliExpress, so it doesn't challenge my Zelos!
Used to collect cheap and weird digital watches when I was young. Now I've moved on to mechanical watches. I also like modding them, especially the cheap ones!
Here's the previous minutes hand I had on it. Just didn't match up with the broad arrow hours hand in size, and color was a little too muted.

Exactly why I picked them!
Had to swap back to stock rotor, the skeletonized one was still making some contact. Wore it out, and could hear touching the caseback when I would shake my wrist. Bummer.

Is it bad that I'm already planning another build? Next one will probably be NH34 based, the GMT hand and two color bezel gives lots of opportunity for fun with colors!
