Asymmetrical cases? Never seen anything like this.

Bulova Accuquartz 2242 I recently picked up at an antique shop. Honestly didn't even notice the difference between the top and bottom of the case until the next day when I noticed the bracelet on the bottom was a lot narrower than the top bracelet. It's very unique, can't think of anything like it I've seen before. Looking up info on the watch, I found some other versions of this watch with odd shaped cases, but outside of them, have any of you seen anything similar? And please, no Proplof pictures, I'm at work and don't have quick access to a toilet, lol!

It's true, but not quite the same thing. Although the Rolex Daytona does have slightly thicker lugs on the left side to help visually balance the crown guards and pushers,.

The different band widths is super odd.

I only know this as a Hermes thing.

No, I'm pretty well stuck with these bracelets! Between integrated endlinks and the different widths, I'm not going to find anything else that isn't another 50 year old bracelet. They are in decent shape though, no worries there. And I have no extra links, but the clasp has 7 microadjust holes, and my fit is the exact middle one.

Here's what people I'm talking to would see if I have my arm on a table:

Now that's mental, as said above yes there's asymmetrical cases but I've never seen different lugs. Bet it was a big seller back in the day 😵💫, an unusual watch that's proper cool, if you can handle the looks.

Might have different lugs top and bottom, but it has a diamond on the dial, so proper bling, lol! Coolest thing is the smooth sweep of the seconds hand, like a Grand Seiko Spring Drive. One really weird quirk: it has a quick set for the date, but not the day. Gotta run the hands around and around until you get the day right, and THEN you set the date. At least it's got a battery, so the day won't need to be changed again until the battery dies.

It does look gorgeous, a proper slice of bling (70s I presume) and I do like it, dial wise. I'd definitely wear it, I suppose you can forget about the lugs as you only see one side.

You are correct, sir, 1972. And it's fun to wear, always wanted a watch with the smooth sweep, and now I have one! So tempted to flip for a good profit, though.
