Meet the Vintage Rally Timer from True North Watch Co. (@truenorthcollections on IG) a stunning homage to the classic chronographs that we all love, but sadly can’t afford. The VRT collection makes the otherwise unaffordable, affordable… in fact, very affordable. For the price, there’s nothing that compares. The VRT is a solid build with a workhorse meca-quartz movement and the look and feel of a bygone era.
If I’m honest, I wasn’t expecting much from a piece that costs a mere $265, but I was pleasantly surprised with how much fun I’ve had wearing (and photographing) this piece. Simply put, it’s been an absolute joy.
This specific example is a unique prototype with its gray dial and bead-blasted case and bracelet, but True North offers a variety of looks within this line, including panda, reverse panda and JPS color-ways among others.
In short, I’m a fan! I find myself being drawn to the VRT more often than not. Sure, I’m still very much in the honeymoon phase with this model but I don’t foresee that feeling ending anytime soon. It’s just so enjoyable and effortless… a “True” grab and go, ideal daily wear in my humble opinion. I highly recommend checking out True North’s collections. Shane is a dedicated owner/designer that’s paving the way for enthusiasts to enjoy the aesthetic we all love without having to break the bank (or sell a vital organ). - It intentionally feels like a vintage timepiece. Not a con for me, but might be for some.

I also have the PANDA version of this watch. It's a great replacement for the vintage Daytona. For the price, I think it's the best homage model available.

Thank you! I feel your dilemma 😅it’s worth every penny though, and there’s so many options to choose from in the VRT line so you’ll be able to find one that differs from your Pagani 👌🏻
