Benrus - Pioneers of the Digital Age

Along with Hamilton and Pulsar, Benrus was also a leader in the pack for one of the first digital watches on the market. A nod to the past with this retro beauty. Once my father’s, it was passed down to me a few years back. It’s no longer working, battery acid ate away at the internals… but a piece of history nevertheless.

I’m sure someone can replace the mechanism. It’s a classic.

You’d think so but I’ve had a few people say that once it’s leaked acid it’s pretty much done… not a huge priority for me but it would be nice to one day replace if possible.

Stellar piece there. I wonder if they used maybe a generic LED module that can be sourced from a number of off-brand watches so you can get it fixed.

That may be the ticket when the time comes to try and get it fixed. Might even just reach out to Benrus directly to see if they have any solutions. You never know.
