I rairly feel this way as I think of myself as a pretty brand neutral/quality driven buyer. Not a brand snob in other words. But my first though was love the design, hate the brand…..

It was truly an unconscious reaction. Upon further reflection I think it maybe due to associating it with citizen or a “barely” luxury brand I suppose.
I own a highlife. Its a great watch imo. it does wear slightly large so if you have smaller wrist and prefer smaller case sizes the smaller PRX may be a better watch for your. otherwise the finishing, movement and price is great. I bought mine brand new for 1100

That is a very curious statement at the end of your post - I know you’ve been pressed for further comment, but I would be very interested to hear why you hate them without invoking brand snobbery… The brand is only around 35 years old, and yes, was pulled together by a consortium and is now owned by Citizen; considering all that, that is something that should be admired. However… we get comments like this all the time, and it’s fascinating.

I like the short “lugs” making the last link a little longer.

Another PRX and CW 12 competitor?
Saw it in person a while ago and it looks stunning

I've owned an FC blue dial high life for a year. I love it! Punches above its weight. Very classy, yet sporty. Best part, it fits like a glove.
