Hi Everyone,
This is my first post in WC.
Today I’m wearing my Dad’s Memovox from the 50’s-60’s (?) - not sure the exact year.
I believe there is something symbolic about measuring our pulse on the wrist, and telling time there as well.
Servicing his watch took 5 months. JLC kept the dial intact per our wishes and they did a fabulous, fabulous job.
I love the yellow patina and the tiny signs of wear under the new haselite dome.
Dad is 90 years old and in poor health. Wearing his watch makes me feel close to him.
It is as if his pulse and mine are connected across time and space through this beautiful timepiece.
The Memovox hands show me the time that passes by. Dad’s hands show me the love that will always persist.
