First off, welcome to WC.

I have a Vaer field watch and love it enough to not have pulled the trigger on a Hamilton for 3 years now.  Mine is 38mm and I think that's perfect.  I assume that diver is between 38 and 40mm?  If so, I think that's perfect.  It's big enough to have some presence and be eligible, but it doesn't take up too much real estate.  I just think watches bigger than 40mm are tricky business as far as not looking large just to be large.

I should mention that around here, you're likely to get a lot of similar opinions.  Watch nerds tend to like their watches on the smaller side.  But if you like bigger watches, there are a ton of great options out there.

O I know … and normally 40 is fine but I’m a bigger guy and if the lug to lug is small a 40 sometimes looks too small on me … also I just feel divers looking better a little bigger , if we are talking a dress watch then fine , but a diver or a flieger that sits too small just look weird on me

Also my vaer field watch is one of my favorites and it’s a 40 … that looks proper that size on my wrist

I have a D4 solar which I think is the watch at the start of the thread.
Does it’s job as a grab and go watch. Good watch for the money.
