Almost a year ago I got an old Casio 54QR-30. A few months after I got it, it stopped working. The seller said in his description that he changed the battery so I scratched my head a bit. I replaced the battery, after making my first post here on WC, and tried to set the time.
Then the next problem showed. I needed to be fast, the more I pressed the buttons, the more the screen faded away. I had to reset the watch six times before I was fast enough.
At the end of last year, the watch died again. Seven months after I changed the battery.
What do you guys think, is this watch finally done?

Can't say for sure on this watch, but I know that electronics can eat batteries when they start going bad. First, I would install a new battery, and also test the battery with a meter to make sure it's fully charged. I can't tell you how many times I've grabbed a fresh battery and it's already low voltage before even installing it.
Sounds like it might be a capacitor issue. They can usually be changed but not without the right equipment.
