When I realized I already own the watch I was looking for

Well, it's not exactly a New Watch Alert, more of a "love my watch again".

This Seiko SRP259J2 was my first automatic watch. I bought it in late 2008 with my first student wage. Since few years now and my constant growing collection, it doesn't had many wrist time.

Lately I was looking for a GADA watch being a little dressy, a little sporty, not to big, and at least 100m WR.

This Seiko is dressy (Dauphine hands, roman numerals, silver inner circle on the dial)

This Seiko is sporty ("Automatic" font, flat sapphire crystal, wide 20mm lugs)

This Seiko has the perfect dimensions for me (39mm diameter, 46mm lug to lug and around 11mm thick)

And (drum roll) it is 100m WR ! I saw it yesterday when I was making some Frankenstrap trials. So here comme the Barton Canvas in 20mm ! I have a sort of sweet taste in my mouth since yesterday.

Have a nice day you crunchers !

I dig it. That’s probably not a surprise given this.

I hear you friend ! Roman numerals were more my beginner stuff (I also have a Le Locle, soon on the WRUW).

Right now I'm more on simple faceted index without numerals (but I purchased a Farer Resolute back in april)... Nice post, very complete !

Thank you mate ! It was on a black leather strap for years before I made the move, don't regret it at all
