Buying into additional 20mm straps is not a loss even if you decide to switch up watches.
But it's unclear to me what is bothering you: not filling the field watch role like you thought, don't like it with its current strap, or is it just that the purchase desire is not satiated?
Hey everyone, thanks for participating in my useless conversation.
For reference, I've been diving for the last 28yrs; have taught diving for 20yrs; been a qualified USN hardhat diver for 12yrs (though not a sat diver); own several divers with HEVs, dive them and love them.
This conversation was meant in fun and not intended as an attack on anyone's pride and joy watch pieces. Hopefully you took it the same way.
While I think I lean to agreeing with you I would say about half the folks commenting on the SMP like the addition of the valve...who would have thought?
