Found a Great Watch service and repair in my area ^_^

Owning my Grand Seiko for a few months it has acquired some scratches on the bracelet, Mostly desk diving and minor scuffs here and there.

I decided to try a local Watch repair and service in downtown Victoria BC, Called

Wait. You’re going to take it in every few months for a polish?

Interesting, personally I would just leave the watch as it is until it requires a service. It’s great they seemed to have done a great job of it, but it could easily have gone wrong as well. Most times I wouldn’t let anyone polish my watch unless I’m sending it direct to the manufacturer.

Not really, I always been curious about scratch removal on watches and wanted to see the result.

Yes the Grand Seiko full service include redoing the Zaratsu polishing.

To be a bit more specific, I only wanted them do the bracelet which is brushed polished and any with Zaratsu polish was not touched.

I will only let Grand seiko do that when the 3 to 4 year service comes when the battery goes kaput.

That's excellent General. Glad it turned out well. I'm the other extreme. There's a family-owned second generation watchmaker about 25 minutes from my house. I take my quartzes that I can't open and bracelets that I can't do myself. They do each service for $5 while-u-wait, and it's never a long wait. But they do all sorts of repairs, and will usually have some vintage Rolexes, Heuers, Pateks, and other interesting things for sale.

I was gonna say...zaratsu! Glad that wasn't touched cos that could be risky.

Yah brushed polished it a little bit more doable, they said Zaratsu requires special machines and they were very honest and up front. They were not equipped for that.

No, I'm just outside of Cincinnati, about a 38 hour drive away. But come on over any time. The Cleves family will appreciate your business!
