Need Some Assistance
I have a Breitling 38 that has a messed up crown and stem, it won't screw in correctly. I got a quote from a local jewelry business for $750 to replace the crown or $1,800 for a full service that would include the crown replacement, that seemed high to me. Do any of you know of a reputable watch repair business in the Walnut Creek area you would recommend. Thank you!

I'm in the UK so no practical help but from experience you can usually find a independent watchmaker who is more than capable of simple repairs. I haven't a clue how much the parts are though 🤷

Without the specific model details I can’t quote exactly but looking at various Breitling crowns and stems it should be under $250

Of course you need to suss them out with a visit and estimate regardless. AFAIK Breitling doesn't restrict parts to AD's.
