Hello new watch SBGW283 + experience of importing from Japan to the US

Thrilled to welcome a new SBGW283 to the collection which is now actually a nice little one with the SGBH273, BB54, Vintage King Seiko 4502, and now the SBGW283.

What a wonderful watch that I am grateful to own and enjoy. Was honing in on the SBGW231/301, but then tried this one at the store and wow I was completely taken.

I actually got this watch on Chrono24 from a seller in Japan - Happy Time (Shunki), whom I recommended very, very much. I was nervous about buying a watch from Chrono24 and importing it to the US (I posted last week asking about peeps for their experience importing to the US; thanks to everyone who responded and helped me). I have to say, the process was very easy and smooth, with the seller explaining everything and being so diligent, and then with FedEx streamlining the import process (paid sales tax through Chrono24 and then signed a DocuSign online and that's it. Got the watch within 3 days of buying it!) - the price I paid was also amazing; a new watch for the price of a used one here in the US even after all taxes and shipment costs. Going forward, I will definitely first check in with Happy Time before looking anywhere else and I highly recommend Shunki.

Congrats! Stunning piece! And I'm glad you had a positive experience.

Outstanding watch! Congrats

Seems like a lot of the Japanese sellers on Chrono24 are businesses who use a procurement model - but whatever they do it really does seem like the prices are always great and customer reviews are glowing

Also helps that the JPY dropped by like 30% or something like that. There’s an arbitrage opportunity for sure.
