Intersect Atlanta 2024 - Thank you!

Being knee-deep in the organization of Intersect Atlanta has been such a rewarding experience. Along with Cullen, @Wes_nodus and Peter (Jack Mason) we organize these shows in close collaboration with the participating brands and local watch groups. Since Peter hosted Intersect Dallas at his HQ, and Nodus took care of their home turf in Los Angeles, it was my turn to take the helm for Atlanta.

My connection to Atlanta runs deep, especially after the “Essence Eisenkiesel” collaboration watch for the @AtlWatchSociety. Seeing at least half of the 50 unique pieces proudly worn at Intersect Atlanta filled me with immense joy, knowing that their owners likely had a collection to choose from for such a special gathering among fellow enthusiasts.

A big shoutout to all the brands who rolled up their sleeves and got their communities pumped. You guys rock! Intersect is the only show out there that is truly organized by independent watch brands. Big love to Giancarlo & Mireille, Chris Hall, and the whole volunteer squad behind the scenes. Thank you to our hosts Chris and Matt from MotoEscape, Ross and Timmy from Valor Coffee, and Chris Warrick capturing the vibe with his photography.

And to everyone who made the trip, shared the love, whether in person or online – you're the real MVPs. Let's keep the watch party going! Our love for watches knows no bounds, and neither does our awesome community. Catch you all at the next one!

@formex is awesome! Looking good!

·

Enjoyed trying on Formex watches, seeing the AWS collab watchand meeting Markus.

·

Just signed up for the list. I hope to make a future event.

Very much enjoyed the show - the venue, the people and the watches were are top notch. I loved being able to handle these watches and meeting the people behind them.

Atl has a fantastic watch scene and events like this only make it better.

This was my first hands-on with “micro-brands” and it was such a refreshing experience! I pretty much stopped purchasing watches around 2017 and my collection consisted of pretty much established brands but COVID related YouTube binging introduced me to so many of the newer brands and (finally!) seeing them in person has genuinely reignited my passion for watches again! The amazing quality especially at the relatively attainable price points was pretty shocking to me!

These guys are the reincarnation of the affordable brands from the 1960’s and 70’s that didn’t survive the quartz crisis. Hopefully they’ll stick around for a looooong time

Great recap Markus! Let’s make the next one even greater 🤝

Man! How’d I miss this??

Indeed!

I only knew about it because of a post here and have shared my thoughts on a separate post. I have made contact and asked about volunteering next year as didn't see any call for volunteers this year and you always need volunteers. Perhaps I could fill a promo role accross the watch forums during the year? 😉

One suggestion is for more advance publicity. Certainly could use some.

Calgary would show you a good time 🤠
