Good bye, old friend.

With a heavy heart I have decided to sell my SeaQ. This watch has been in my current collection the longest (2020), but it sees more time in a watch box than on my wrist. My wife wants some renovations to our house, so I am selling the SeaQ instead of dipping into the savings. It will be a sad day when it is gone and will be surly missed.

Any particular reason you weren’t wearing it?

I didn't like bracelets when I purchase the watch. I have sinced move to warm and humid climate and only want to wear bracelets. I could never get over spending close to $2k to get the Glashutte bracelet.

Gotcha. As a rule of thumb, I always try to buy my watches on the OEM bracelet, since they can be very hard to get and/or expensive after the fact when compared with other strap options. I learned the hard way after going back for the OEM bracelet on my JLC Master Control after buying it on leather.

On most other watches, I’d suggest just getting an aftermarket bracelet, but I totally get where you’re coming from with the Glashutte. OEM or bust!

Ouch....valid reasoning ofc, but still painful 😬

Good luck with the renovations; hopefully another GO / SeaQ will make its way into the collection again at some point in the future!

Yes, yes it is painful. But like you said, valid reasoning. Happy wife...

Besides, this gives me an excuse to get the GO that I really want in the near future, the PanoInverse.

GO is one of those under appreciated bands IMO. Cheers!

I just got a version of your dream watch- PanoMaticInverse with date though. I just love the traditional Glashütte panorama date/big date. It makes checking the date easy with how large the numerals are. Such a functional design choice.

Sorry to read this dude. I have a life rule now not to sell any watch for anything a woman wants. It’s cost me too many pieces over the years and the women come and go. Watches are a man’s best friend 😂🙌

When life happens the trinkets are the first to go. I've gone through it many times in the past and will go through them still until I finally leave this planet. Sorry to hear about the SeaQ.
