Seiko SLA043

I recently sold this watch, greatly regretted it a few weeks later. So glad to have this awesome blue dial back into the collection. The quality of the watch walks over most watches near the price, and ever brilliant steel? Hard to buy a tough diver without it.

It’s a blue Tropic, from the original makers (or recreators) www.tropicstrap.com Fits the sla really well despite being 20mm.

Love it, the quality really speaks volumes, there’s just something about it!

This is why I’ve never sold a watch before. I like all of my watches, and I would regret selling any of them.

How's the bezel Neil, any misalignment? I know this a LE but getting it pre-owned 5k upwards in the local market is just crazy.

I sold all my Seiko's to get this watch! And its scratches the Seiko itch. I have not bought another Seiko since Only the Omniwatari would tempt me. My only gripe is its currently on a tropic period. Its 14mm thick and the unregulated Caliber/movement, 8L35 is running slow. Other than that its Perfect Skin Diver and a stunning keeper for sure. I have seen them going fairly cheaper on the second hand market lately, if anyone fancies the SLA043 you wont regret it!

that domed crystal fits that watch so well... most of them being flatter has a entirely different vibe... I can see why you'd miss it for sure...

I'm with you. My SLA043 is the last Seiko that I'll ever buy. My only gripe is the 19mm lug width which makes very difficult to find and fitting strap for my small wrist.

This is a 20mm Tropic, most rubber/leather/natos of 20mm will fit for sure!

Search for sbdx039 on chrono24, much cheaper! I normally go with a Japanese seller with lots of sales/ reviews and buyer protection. You almost can’t go wrong, I’ve bought a dozen or so this way.

Bezel is perfect, but that’s just luck!

I think Seiko at this price point is at their best, the quality is just so special.

The 8l35 is super easy to regulate, take it in to a local watch smith/ jeweller and they will have it running cosc specs pretty easily.

Mine is about +5 sec/day so not too concerned right now.
