I think it's basically a Timex Weekender, chromed brass case. It does have proper character hands. The Timex MSRP is nutso, but for $40 or so, why not?
Of course it's worth it. With Timex, you know what you are getting. It's the every man's watch, it doesn't pretend to be something it's not and democratized the price of watches so everyone can afford a reliable timepiece, its basically as pure as horology gets. Snoopy and Timex are a perfect pairing and as Americana as you can get, even though Timex is now owned by a Dutch holding company. However, their roots will always be in the U.S.A. The prices always fluctuate on Amazon from $35 to $100, so you can easily get one for less than what Timex site is charging. As Oscar said, this is the Weekender and Timex is known for having a loud Ticking sound, which I love, but many hate. Lastly, looking at Snoopy on your wrist has to make you smile in this jaded world, its always reminder to me not to take yourself and life so seriously.
I collect the Limited Edition Peanuts Marlins and I always toss and turn about the price because I want to complete the collection. They retail for $259 and up. I need one more to complete my collection, but I have to go to ebay and the only one I see is $2,500, as much as a Timex/Peanuts fan I am, that is where I draw the line, but I keep looking.

No experience - but looking at it and knowing the price of timex I’d say go for it!
If you like snoopy it’s a must for the collection. Just picked up the t-80 x peanuts for my sis for x-mas
May be @TimexBadger can comment. He has quite a few Timex Snoopy collection..
Looks great. I want a Pokemon watch myself.
I'm not a huge fan of the hand being a part of the character but that's just personal preference
Just be aware the cheaper Timex can be extremely loud. People complain they need to keep them in another room.
That would bother the crap out of me all day.
If you don't find one you like you could always do it diy with some fingernail stickers.
