Not knowing anything about watch parts and what's available. I need to find out what size the I/D is of this second hand. Should be able to do it at work tomorrow.
Slightly eccentric, wicked sense of humour. Self confessed watch cheapskate, who tinkers with watches. Love motorbikes, to date, I've ridden about 250,000 miles, 113,000 of which are on my BMW 1150GS....

You can usually size them by the movement. I buy parts like hands from Cousins, https://www.cousinsuk.com/department/watch-parts
Movement is unbranded🙄
You would have to measure the shaft diameter with a micrometer or caliper, no?
The second hand is a sub dial, I've not removed the watch dial yet. Even then it is too close to the movement and does not protrude enough for a mic. Wouldn't trust a caliper, anyway I used the calibrated pins at work. A 0.28 passed through, the 0.30 didn't. In imperial that's about 0.013"
