Tokyoflash "Rotar" drum counter watch!

Damn you, Oscar! You had to post that link to Tokyoflash in that Quirky Watches thread, and stupid me had to click on it and instantly order this ... appliance! Now all these hot watch chicks that followed me as soon as I opened the box at the post office are scratching at my door to have a look at how this watch does its stuff, and compliment me on my impeccable style, and God knows which other intentions they might be harboring, probably catching a nasty cold in their skimpy clothes cuz it's friggin' cold outside, the poor things, while I just want to be alone with my new acquisition and stare at the rotating drums, mesmerized, enjoying the sweet pride of ownership of such a splendid machine. I hope you're fine with that.

And what a machine this is! Not only does it tell the time, it also has a demo mode, in which the drums do a very impressive drum roll (badum-tss), and a sleep mode, from which it can be awakened by the mere press of a button, followed by the aforementioned i. d. r. The sleep mode silences the powerful roar of the rotor-motor, should you actually want to sleep, and also prolongs battery life.

It also sports 30m of WR, a quick-change strap of such quality that it indeed will be quickly-changed, 2 years guarantee, and a very short delivery time of under a week.

Now please excuse me, soft-hearted me gotta make a big thermos of hot tea with rum without tea for the ladies, and tell some time.

I think I had something with the same mechanism. The hours and minutes went in different directions as I recall. The procedure to set the time somehow required all those pushers and a somewhat elaborate procedure. This is much more stylish than the box I had.

Excellent review!  I even remember reading it at some time - loved the movement, but not the shape, so I was thrilled when I found it in this 60s jump-hour style.
