Does a world time bezel work without a gmt hand?

Yup.

Site, logo, watch…all look decidedly hobbyist, but maybe looks are deceiving / I’m too harsh.

Yup.

I just assumed it was the same as when people put a gmt bezel on a 3 hand watch.

That can also work. Both are essentially just methods of marking a number difference, but a world time bezel will make it easier. For me, I think Tokyo is eight hours ahead for instance (ignoring any DST business) so as long as my location is over the hour hand, then Tokyo (often Tokio on older such bezels) will be over the time in Japan, and I just have to know that they are ahead of me rather than behind. (often a plus sign on the bezel, as they are always ahead of GMT)

A world time bezel only needs to go up to twelve if there is no GMT hand.

Are you sure that works with 3 hands and a 24h scale? I mean unless the watch is a 3 hand that is 24h like some glycine or vostok

I am pretty certain that 24 gmt bezels won’t work on a three handed tbh, as you say. But isn’t that basically the wrong kind of gmt bezel?

(Bonds Seamaster 300 is a world timer because it has the 12 hour bezel)

Edit: though I suppose you could just divide the time on the bezel by 2.

A gmt bezel is 24h a dual time bezel is 12h as far as I know

It may be me who is wrong but that's what I've always called them to differentiate between the two.
