They had a crown fix for the first batch released. The fix was quite seemless which was the initial interaction point I had with the company which ended up being a really positive experience.
I've had nothing but absolutely positive experience with this watch (black version) and Serica as a brand. It easily kept the best time in my stable of Omegas, Zenith, Tags and Tudors. It is beautiful, tough and just so damn practical with the dual bezel! Lastly, the customer service has been great and I've had some back and fourth with the owner/CEO, Jerome.
Yeah, it is quite different! That's what I was attracted to when I purchased it.
It's the Serica 5303 on the OEM mesh bracelet. It's a killer watch which is the one that got me into divers and to appreciate high legibility and robustness. The dual scale bezel is also very handy as I work with many colleagues overseas. Ultimately, that was quirk to the watch that made me want to gift it to my pops as he also works with people overseas.
As an automotive engineer I wore a speedmaster which was extensively used to aid specific engine development. Now as my role has changed towards less technical and more into management, I find myself preferring divers as I am still able to adequately track times with timing bezels when needed and the added legibility at a glance. Additionally, it's nice to have some additional shock resistance compared to a chronograph as I just tend to be clumsy 🤓.
