I have one that I bought new in 1981 which has English and Spanish as the alternate. It does not have the red blob for Sunday. Mine is reference 6309-7040.

Mine is the same reference but has roman numerals and English

What is the production date on it (first digit of the serial number)? I'd bet its a late 6309-7040 because I think I remember seeing the roman more frequently on the 7001 (successor to the 6309), not sure my memory is starting to go. Someone on here definitely knows.

Mine is 84
But it's new to me
So could be a different case back or day date wheel
It's pretty close to the end of the run, I think it ran until 86 plus or minus. Damm, someone just needs to do a Seiko diver book, not me I'm done lol.

That's a great idea
I'd buy it
Would be a great read and pictures would be great too
