Women’s Watch Recommendations

What are your recommendations for affordable woman’s watches (under $250). Most lists online are geared for larger wrists. I’m looking to give the watch as a gift.

Do you have any more info to narrow it down? 😊 Are you looking for a dress type watch that looks a bit special? Something tough and robust for everyday use? Would you consider second hand?

An everyday watch that would work for most occasions. It doesn’t need to be rugged.

You might look at Tissot. They make a 33mm PR100 Powermatic 80, and you can find them for less than $250 if you shop around. Here is a link to one at Jomashop for $199:

Citizen and Seiko also make some great watches in smaller sizes targeted at women.

Ok, so it would depend on how hard-wearing you want it to be. There are some lovely metallic Casio's that I think look very chic and are at the lower end of the budget like this A168WG-9EF

Another option, sticking with Casio as they are great value, would be a G-Shock. They are bullet proof and there are loads of different options and colours depending on the ladies style, such as this beauty:

If you were willing to shop about second hand and want something special you may just get a Seiko cocktail time in budget. They are beautiful watches, widely loved and come in a multitude of colours:

You really can't go wrong with Casio watches as value for money for me and they do all kinds of styles, so worth having a look to see what may suit. Tissot are another option which may just squeeze into your budget.

Happy shopping!

Also, potentially the Orient Bambino. Lovely and popular watch:

I find the vintage Elgin watches for women are a great watch buy and are a fun way to get into the vintage watch world! Modern, I would suggest a Seiko presage. Can never go wrong with a Seiko!

I second the Seiko Cocktail Time rec.  I just got my wife one and it is beautiful!  Of course, for the budget you set you would have to find one pre-owned, but as mentioned, they are a special line.  They come in a variety of colors and cocktail themes, so you can get one to match her style.

If she likes things a little flashy, another option is the Seiko SUP433 - a ladies solar watch that is also dressy.  They are on sale right now on Amazon for well under $200.  It's gorgeous and a total steal at this price IMHO

Skagen Denmark has some interesting designs for women. I just bought my mother, Anita, an Anita from them. Nice looking watch.

For about half that budget you get a nice Parnis dresswatch, the PA2113 , available in various colours This is is not as garishly blingy as some women's watches are these days, but understated elegant. There is a male version (the PA6038) [which I'm wearing as I type this], so as a gift for a couple one could make it one watch each.
