Christmas and watches/gifts
The christmas time is mostly the time I start buying/selling watches for myself. This year I’ve bought the Rolex Explorer 14270 which I have talked about in a previous post.
As a matter of fact, the watch was running around 70secs slow and had 134 amplitude (which is way too low). So the current situation is that I have sent the watch back in order of a refund. Which opens te hunt for a new one! Fortunately now that I have had a taste of a vintage Rolex bracelet/clasp I think I’ll be looking for a more modern version of it.
Anyhow, how are you guys spending these Christmas? If there are any watch related presents under the tree I’d like to see them! For me, I’ll be looking for a new Explorer which will probably not arrive before Christmas.

No new watches for me. But that is my overall plan 😅 I do however plan to wear my vintage Omega with a bright green croco-strap and red bowtie. Gold, red and green are the colors of Christmas is it not 🥳

Too bad that your Rollie was off... Did you test it for magnetism?
I've bought myself no watch related items. I've put plenty of options on the wish list (sonic cleaner, tool kit, a couple of watches), so we'll see what happens.
Well, that's not entirely accurate since I bought a prop for WRUW shots.
I know what it is, but everyone here will just have to wait til Christmas.

I have actually, then my watchmaker told me that watches that have been magnetized always tend to run fast instead of slow. Just to be sure we had demagnetized it but unfortanetely didn't do anything.

I am tempted to sell my 2017 Speedmaster and to invest the funds into an Explorer 1. Unless Santa brings me one a surprise!
