Update: Seiko 5 Rowing Blazers on the wrist for 2 weeks.

Hey all, just an update on my purchase of the pink dial Seiko 5 Rowing Blazers latest collaboration. First off the pic is from Hodinkee.

I switched back to the bracelet, didn’t like that there was excess on the NATO strap. I’ll have to get one from Crown and Buckle. The bracelet’s not bad, comfortable and kinda looks like an oyster.

Wore it in rotation with a GMT Master 2 and a Prospex SPB 187. It looked at home at a Black Tie wedding last week, compliments galore. The pink dial obviously is what caught people’s eye. Two very well to do families, and I knew about half the people there. Watch spotting, a few Rolexes, TAG’s, Breitlings, Tissot PRX’s, a Tudor GMT Root Beer, a ton of Apple Watches and fashion watches.

They must regulate these watches before it leaves the factory, running at -4s/day way better than the stated 4R36 accuracy.

Anyway looks like a keeper.

I dunno. I’m not that lucky. 😉. In addition to the dial color, it has some nice touches like the hour markers and the luminous hands, the candy cane seconds hand, the signed crown and the RB logo on the exhibition case back. It’s not far fetched to assume that they’d go the extra step to regulate it. Plus it’s a limited release not the 100’s of thousands run of the mill Seiko 5’s.

Anyway it runs better than my 6R’s SPB 187 and Presage Sharp Edge GMT
