Giving a fave... To my fave

So my lady's work watch broke... Simple fashion watch, I'm not too bummed about it. She is a little and I'm kind of happy about that hehe.

So, this means I have to sit and go through loads of watches from loads of different watch sites... She's not like me who'll walk into a store try on a couple watches and not buy one until I fall in love with it or at least until I've done some research and picture my future with it... (Don't act like you don't do this.)

She hasn't caught the bug as yet and I can't rush that. She does however have the eyes for a nice watch and I'm not talking just looks but she knows my disdain for fashion watches and for low quality pieces.

She's a simple gal, doesn't fuss more than any other woman normally would. Doesn't complain about much and that makes me want to give her the finest things in life.

So I thought, I have many, some even on the smaller size and she's been eyeing my Noblia for some time now, says it's thin and sleek and she likes it.

One of my dressier pieces and I really love this watch, I find it very unique... Love tha damn thing. So after resizing it and cleaning it up a lil, I put in on her wrist and said, wear this... I kept the links ofc, and I've left it's spot in my box empty... Not because I plan to replace it but because hopefully I'll get her something so nice, I get to put it back 😐

Can you guys help me out here... What would you get a lady that works in an office to wear on her wrist?

Yes I know it depends on her taste, yes I know it depends on my budget and yes I know there's a bunch of other factors and I could let her keep that one blah blah blah... Can we skip those comments and give me some genuine suggestions please, that'd be greatly appreciated.

Since you’re rocking an Orient, my mind went immediately to the Bambino LE. The new colored dials are amazing.

Go for the Traska Commuter 34 or 36. It's thin, it's tough (1200 on the Vickers scale after the hardening treatment) and the bracelet is a joy.

Loving the traska, it looks tough. That can go in her collection indeed. She won't wear it everyday but I know she'd love it. Gonna show it to her.

Under a grand, i'd look at Tissot.

Under five grand, a date just.

The way you talk about your lady, tells me that she deserves a steel Cartier, not sure about your budget but there are quite a few different models that are not stupidly expensive. My wife worked from home during the past several years but used to wear one of her steel Cartiers to her office daily. You can also try to source any number of pre owned quartz Hermes watches that are amazing. I bought my wife an 80s 2 tone quartz Hermes when we were dating, before marriage, remains one of her favourite watches almost 40 years later. Good luck, I am sure you will find the perfect watch, GOOD LUCK!

How about a Frederique Constant classics art deco?

It's also thin at 5.65 mm thanks to the quartz movement.

·

You could also look at Raymond Weil.

The round 34mm is 7mm thick. The rectangle one is even thinner.

·

Mido has a fee cool options too. The commander 1959 is quite unique. It's automatic so a bit thicker, but still a reasonable 10.5 mm. They come in 37mm, or 23mm, and in silver, gold, rose gold, and black.

Junkers has some options too. I like the bauhaus style of the Dessau streamline 34mm. And it's 6.66mm.

Back to a more classic style, you have Paul Picot with a few interesting and different pieces.

Aerowatch 1942 phase de lune Is also a classic design.

Love the ***'s. Rival Seiko 5 for value, and maybe surpass it.👍
