I’m done paying bank-breaking dough for an expensive watch because I think I’ll ‘like it more’.

I got this W-735H on clearance for 8 bucks. It is now my dedicated gym watch, but gets worn increasingly more often because of how tactile the buttons feel, how comfortable it wears, its fabulous readability, how amazing the backlight is…and that I won’t need to change its battery for ten years.

As I sit here on my back patio while listening to my evening radio programs, I question if any of my more expensive watches make me any happier or excited when I wear them. Truthfully…I must report no.

Have you been chasing watch-wearing happiness by unloading a wad of cash on an expensive watch?

I have been looking at a Casio digital watch for this purchase. Nice choice!

Thanks. I stumbled on it at Walmart of all places…and it’s one of the best Casios I’ve ever owned.

Totally. I’ve got an F-91W too and it is like a ‘friend’ on your wrist don’t you think?

Full-on!

A casio goes on my wrist on the weekends, in the workshop and while doing chores.

from a practical & utlitarian perspective, Casio, especially the G-Shock line, makes all watches (including Apple Watch) obsolete. that’s why Casio is considered “God Tier” by people in the watch community. i’m planning to add a G-Shock Rangeman to my collection so i can have something to grab for the apocalypse 😅

Very sweet!

Wow! I thought that was one of my pictures for a minute. I have one of these as a work beater. It does everything a G-Shock does for pennies on the dollar.

It also vibrates when it's alarmed. Mind you, I haven't tried any of the features yet.

Just about every watch I own was given to me or found at a ridiculously low price at a thrift store or pawn shop. I don’t think I’ve ever paid more than $50 for a watch.

That’s a good way to go about it!
