Yup…I think my water watch is the weirdest in my collection. After all…it gets its power from the electrolytic action of those three strips up top.
Every few days, you gotta just inject a little water in the three pin holes on either side of the watch…and you’ve got a bright display that shows time, date and seconds!
I found this at some kind of shop in either Fairbanks or Anchorage, AK in 1987 or 1988 (can’t remember). I wonder if the watch ever got fully patented? Maybe not. I have never seen one since…but of course that’s just an inference.
There’s a lot of weird things in this world. I’m just glad to own one of them in the form of a watch!
What’s your weird watch you like to show off?

Impressive that it's still working, I've never seen owt like it!
I don't own anything particularly weird so I can't contribute, just wanted to compliment you. Very cool and weird 😎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Much thanks! Indeed it is a survivor.
Nice! Here is an odd one, if only for the stealth bomber shape. 🤣
I have two weirdly shaped watches but its the first time I have heard of a water watch 😯. Weird watches are fun.
Cool piece, perhaps HYT could get an inspiration from this.

Oh yeah…I remember when you got that. In fact I was thinking about it the other day!

Wow! The spaceship is fantastic! The crown is the jet exhaust?
Wow, learned something new and that watch is so cool!

Yep
Cool little watch, and amazing it still works!
Thanks for sharing 😀
I wear normal looking sensible watches, because I'm weird and mad,so I try to project normality in my appearance 😉🙄😂weirdest watch I've owned was a 1930s jump hour and James bond moonraker swatch I never worn 😬one day I will embrace the madness, and get a sub 😂🤣only joking will get something funky one day 👍
Ahhh I have one of those as well but in all black and I haven't tested it yet. Need to get around to that!

Oh, that’s fantastic! When you do, the best way to do it is use some kind of syringe to inject water into the pin holes. Also, the cells need some time to activate the electrolytes before the LCD display will appear. After some minutes of patience, the display will strengthen to full clarity.
